What level split would you do? Would you go chain or tomb? Barbarian warlock isn't a terrible multiclass, but fiend seems like the worst subclasses for it (vs celestial or genie, which work amazingly). However, the tomb pact feels like a safer bet, as you get a utility that barbarians usually lack. If you go pact of the chain, you get a consistent use of your bonus action, which beast barbarians typically lack. Tiefling is probably my pick for a race (with customized ancestry giving you +2 str and +1 dex). If you plan on being a gish, Hexblade into chain or blade pact is probably your ONLY viable option, using 2 sorc levels to make up for the warlock shortcomings.I really like the idea of a demon-flavored beast warlock who twists their body into demonic shapes when they rage. Hexblade makes the whole build revolve around CHA gives you great AC without needing more than 14 Dex (10-14 Dex is fine too) Generally speaking, Hexblade gives you access to shield as well, although I'd never use a precious warlock spellslot on shield or darkness for that matter, you're probably better off going shadow sorc 2 to cast darkness with your metamagic and freeing up an invocation slot ( you don't need devil's sight that much being a shadow sorc and you don't need natural AC by being a Hexblade because half plate is better anyway). With the Kiss of Mephistofeles invocation you can get Fireball as a bonus action centered on one of your eldridch blast hits, so going hexblade doesn't really mean no fireball. The Paladin and Cleric have decent ACs, but are not very sticky (no Sentinel feat, etc.) Party is : Paladin, Cleric, Rogue, Archery Fighter. What do you think?
